Are you a creative thinker? Can you generate ideas? Are you able to see the big picture and apply your creative approaches and ideas to a range of issues? If the answer is yes, we want to hear from you.

What we're looking for

As part of Phase 3 of the Lead Creative Schools Scheme we are looking to increase the diversity of our cohort of talented, inspirational professionals to work through the mediums of Welsh and/or English in the Lead Creative Schools Scheme during the 2022/23 and 2023/24 academic years. The scheme aims to promote new ways of working, with innovative and bespoke programmes of learning designed to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

We are particularly focussing on increasing diversity as part of this application recruitment process and especially welcome applications from people from culturally and ethnically diverse backgrounds as well as D/deaf, disabled, neurodivergent and Welsh speaking practitioners.

You will need to demonstrate in your application your experience of working within the principles of equalities and diversity within your creative approach to the Lead Creative Schools Scheme.

What does a Creative Agent do?

Creative Agents will draw on their practical experience of ‘creativity’ and will act as a catalyst able to respond to each school’s individual development priorities and needs. Whether from the arts, culture, heritage, creative industries, science, or other sectors, your key skills will be your ability to challenge, support and sustain new practice in the field of creative learning.

Interested?

  • After we receive your application, we’ll send you an acknowledgement, and will aim to respond formally within 3 weeks.
  • Successful applicants will be invited to paid training, which will take place over 3 consecutive days, on 6 - 8 September.
  • Being accepted on to the training does not guarantee that you will be matched with a school and offered work.
  • All successful applicants will need to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, which Arts Council of Wales will process if necessary.

Applications are now open. The deadline is 12pm (midday) Friday 29 July 2022.

Important note: You will be asked to upload a CV and a reference to the form.

If you’re unable to access the online forms, or have any questions please contact us at creative.agents@arts.wales
