Following conversations with our Welsh Government Education colleagues we are now delivering various elements of our programme through online platforms.
Our aim is to provide creative, engaging and arts-focused learning to support teachers and pupils in both school and home settings.
Creative learning during coronavirus
Our work includes the commissioning of artists from a range of arts disciplines to deliver online Expressive Arts Masterclasses and workshops and to continue to lead creative learning experiences.
We will continue to offer Go and See opportunities to provide more learners across Wales the opportunity for arts enrichment experiences by bringing together a collection of performances, exhibitions, readings and other cultural events into one online resource.
Go and See – igniting the spark
Arts and cultural experiences are inspiring, challenging, engaging, and fun, and play an important part in the learning of our young people wherever in Wales they live. We believe that our children and young people should have the chance to be inspired and excited by the best that the arts in Wales has to offer.
A virtual collection of enrichment experiences available to schools and learners across Wales
This virtual collection, a strand of the Arts Council of Wales and Welsh Government Creative learning through the arts programme, will transport teachers and learners alike into theatre performances, virtual exhibitions, museum tours, behind the scenes visits and more. Bringing the joys and wonders of creativity to all and providing new and stimulating cultural experiences for both home and school settings, this marks a new approach to our hugely successful Go and See live visits programme.
Working with a variety of arts and cultural organisations, opportunities will be uploaded weekly. To see what’s on offer via our Virtual Go and See please visit the Creative Learning Zone.
Expressive Arts Masterclasses
From podcasting to painting and playwriting, our new series of creative learning Masterclasses has something for everyone. Opportunities are uploaded weekly onto the Creative Learning Zone.
